Our story so far…
(and how we got where we are today)
We are a family owned and operated, one stop branding shop. What started off as a simple sign shop back in the summer of 2008, has grown leaps and bounds.
– Cutting edge signage options, including 3D Acrylic, LED lit and more.
– Vehicle graphics from simple cut or print to full wraps.
– Custom apparel with heat transfer or embroidered logos or go full colour
with our new direct to garment capability.
– Promotional items from branded can cozies to Bluetooth speakers, or
anything else you can think of, even blankets. We have you covered!
We are here to stay and continue to invest in training, equipment, staff and our community.
To date some of our equipment includes a 64” large format vinyl printer, laminator, direct to garment printer, CNC router, laser cutter and embroidery machine.
Community involvement is one of our core values. We sponsor events, charities and youth programs to give back to the community. We are supporting members of the Chamber of Commerce as well as the Downtown Business Association.
The owner Sara Foley is originally from Bancroft, Ontario. Where she bought her first 30” cutter (still running today) and vinyl. Her very first project was vehicle decals and signs for a friend that was running for council in his area.
In 2014 Sara made a big step! She purchased a 54” printer as well as a 54” laminator and all the toys that come with it. Shortly after, she met her now husband Rob Foley. He has been a long time resident of the Smiths Falls area and convinced Sara to move here, setting up shop in Rob’s garage in 2015.
Rob has been a major asset to the growth of the company. On top of his full time job at Procter and Gamble as a technician and maintenance planner, he dedicated many hours to help Sara with production and installations.
In 2017 as we were outgrowing that little garage, Procter and Gamble announced the pending closer of their Brockville plant, prompting us to go all in on the business. This led us to a 2000sqft commercial space on Maple Avenue. We spent the next three and a half years growing rapidly both personally and professionally. Rob attended the 3M Preferred Installer training (and expects to complete his qualification once in person classes resume). We continued to expand the apparel side of our business and decided to purchase a Brother GTX Direct-To-Garment Printer which prints high quality full colour images right on fabric. We also stay on top of the latest apparel trends and can provide brands such Columbia, Puma, Nike, Spyder and Champion to name a few.
In 2021 another move was required, to a larger space. 88 Cornelia Street West Unit F, Smiths Falls is now the home of Howling Designs. With the extra space we’ve added a CNC router and a screen-printing press to our equipment arsenal to serve our clients better.
We want to thank all of our loyal customers and our community for their continued support and for helping us grow.
